Bio

I have varied experiences within the construction industry.

Started out as a tradesman in the mechanical trades of sheetmetal, airconditioning, industrial refrigerationa and industrial pipefitting.  Worked up through foreman and superintendent over multi trade industrial construction projects.

Migrated into federal civil service with the Navy starting out as a general construction quality inspector.  Moved upward to site, facility, and utility planning, design and maintenance.  During this time  I joined CSI seeking knowledge on specfication development.  I was alredy good at small project drafting from my construction days.  This led to managing design contracts awarded to professional firms.  This included comprehensive all discipline design and specification review to assure projects were buildable and reflected the critera required by the end user.

Concurrenty  I served in the Naval Reserve Seabees eventually retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer and serving several time on active duty with two years in a Battalion deployed to Vietnam.

On retireing from civil service I then was contracted back to the Navy develop small projects and funding requests for 4 years.

Next stint of my career was working for contractors and subcontractors as a Quality Control Manager, Project Engineer and Project Manager.

In my waning years I decided to establish my self as a consultant to small contractors bidding and executing federal projects paralell to my construction management experience.  After 10 yeras I finally decided to retire for real wth no looking back.
