CSI's Honors and Awards Program recognizes the talent, achievements, and notable contributions to the AEC industry that support the mission of CSI. Participating on the Awards Committee is a great way to contribute to your professional community. Be a part of the FY2022 CSI Awards Committee!
Awards Committee is responsible for:
- Promoting recognition within CSI by administering the programs in the Honors & Awards Guide.
- Making recommendations to the CSI Board of Directors regarding revisions to the awards program criteria.
The Awards Committee members will:
- Review award criteria and forms prior to the opening of the awards submission period.
- Review award submission applications after the close of the awards submission period.
- Choose the recipients for the various CSI awards, including, but not limited to:
- Ben John Small Technical Writing Award
- Distinguished Service Award
- Hans William Meier Award for Innovation of Certification Programs
- Innovation in Construction Award
- Norman Hunter Award for Innovative Allied Organization Cooperation
- Outstanding Chapter Commendations (OCC)

Composition:
The Awards Committee consists of a total of five (5) individuals.
The CSI Board Chair is looking to appoint two members who have broad experience with CSI and are able to attend and participate in CSI National Conference awards activities.
The names of all qualified applicants will be submitted to the Board Chair, who will choose two individuals for appointment. The appointments will then be ratified by the CSI Board of Directors at their June 2021 Board meeting.
Term of Service:
This is a two (2) year commitment, starting October 1, 2021 and expiring September 30, 2023.
Time Commitment:
- There are two to three one-hour meetings prior to December 1, 2021 to review and make recommendations for improvements to the Honors & Awards Guide.
- There will be two to three one-hour meetings in 2022 to review the awards process prior to opening of the submission period.
- There will be three to four one-hour meetings in 2022 to judge the award submission applications and nominations, and to choose award recipients for CSI’s fifteen Honors and Awards.
- Your attendance is required at the Honors & Awards Ceremony at the FY2022 CSI National Conference.
