Fellowship Mentors

Starts: 05-01-2024
Location: Online Opportunity

Description:

The College of Fellows (COF) Mentors assist prospective new Fellows by serving as a resource for CSI members working on their submission packages for consideration by the Jury of Fellows, for elevation to Fellow. This is a great way for Fellows to give back to their CSI colleagues and to contribute to the CSI Fellows Community.

Fellows interested in serving as Fellowship Mentors are encouraged to click on the “Apply Now” link above and submit their name and contact information for consideration.

As a Fellowship Mentor, your name and contact information will be listed College of Fellows’ Directory of Mentors, on CSIResources.org.

Mentors’ Responsibilities:

Mentors encourage and assist CSI Members interested in applying for CSI Fellowship. They seek potential candidates who have made a difference in CSI with their involvement at the Chapter, Region, and/or National levels. They work with Fellowship candidates to document which of the four areas in which they have made a significant contribution to CSI or the AECO community:

  1. Education
  2. Specifications
  3. Technology
  4. Service to the Institute

Mentors advise the Fellowship candidate on the information required in their submission package, including but not limited:

  • a list of leadership positions they have held in their Chapter or Region, or at the National level;
  • a list of the awards they have received from their Chapter, Region, or CSI National;
  • a list of publications they have authored;
  • a list of presentations they have made;
  • potential individuals from which to request Letters of Endorsement;
  • who should nominate them for Fellowship.

Composition:

  • Any CSI Fellow who is currently a member of CSI.
  • Members of the CSI Jury of Fellows are not eligible to serve as College of Fellows Mentors until their term on the Jury has expired.

Term of Service:
