I have enjoyed a long career in the Architecture and Design profession which began in 1986 working for my father (Aubrey Davis, AIA). I have held positions of partner, senior associate, associate, project manager, senior project coordinator, and senior healthcare designer while providing programming, design, and construction administration services to a broad spectrum of project types. I have had the pleasure of filling many roles at the different companies I have worked with including Office manager, CAD Manager, IT Manager, Sustainability Coordinator, Greening the Practice team leader, "Green Team" leader, Sustainable Task Force team member, Senior Healthcare designer, Exterior Envelope commissioning agent, Project Coordinator, and Specification Writer. I have fulfilled the roles of production, designer, team coordinator, and manager on many projects across Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Texas, and Iowa. My project resume includes healthcare, medical, corporate / commercial, retail, outdoor stadiums, prototype development, movie theaters, higher-educational, transportation / aviation, and hospitality projects ranging widely in complexity and cost.
As one of the twelve founding members of the USGBC in Florida I have served on the Executive Board since its inception in 2002. Involved with the AIA since 1992 serving on local committees. 2010 and 2014 President of the local chapter of CSI - Construction Specification Institute and elected to the position of Vice President of the Southeast Region of CSI overseeing 17 chapters. I co-headed the BEDLM (Building Envelope Design and Liability Management) initiative with GS&P which focused on quality practice and standards for building shells in Hot-Humid Climates to limit professional liability for the firm and provide a "kit of tools" that the designers can use in confidence to provide safe, consistent, cost effective details.
