I grew up in Northfield, Vermont, where both my parents were professors at Norwich University. After high school, I enrolled at Norwich University in the Architecture and Art program as an Architecture major. After finishing my post-graduate education at Norwich University in 2005 and receiving my B. Arch, I worked as a construction Foreman for F. R. Lafayette until June of 2007, when I was hired as a Designer at Maclay Architects. Over the next five and a half years, I worked my way up to Project Manager. At Maclay Architects, I worked on several ultra-high performance and Net-Zero Energy Buildings as a member of the Architectural design team. My work at Maclay Architect's has given me a keen understanding of high-performance envelope design, as well as a fundamental understanding of high performance system integration, including mechanical systems, automated building controls, structure, daylight harvesting, and lighting controls. I continue my career today at TruexCullins Architecture and Interiors.
