Bio

William has over 35 years of architectural experience, and - in April 2019 - joined the City of Austin's Public Works Department Architectural Project Management Division as a project manager.  William’s project-management and client-relations experience base ranges from large, multi-building mixed-use developments on challenging sites to small yet complex retro-fits and renovations within existing facilities (often under parameters which required such facilities to remain in full operation throughout the renovation period). With a particular focus on maintaining design intent throughout the life of each project, William strives to manage each project such that the ultimate design solution for each project achieves the best possible and most appropriate level of design while strictly adhering to the client’s functional needs, the client’s budget, and the client’s own design goals.

William is an ordained elder and deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Austin (FPC), has served on multiple building committees there as well as the youth ministry team, and taught high school Sunday school at his church for over 20 years.  On FPC’s behalf, William has worked intimately with City of Austin representatives in navigating several Church improvements (exterior and interior signage, monument signage, code-related issues, and other items) through regulatory-approval processes.
