William has over 30 years of architectural experience. Since joining Nelsen Partners' Austin office in late 2011 as senior project manager, William has become particularly familiar with the ever-changing and fast-paced world of mixed-use and retail planning and design. William’s project-management and client-relations experience base now ranges from large, multi-building developments on challenging sites to small yet complex retro-fits and renovations within existing facilities (often under parameters which required such facilities to remain in full operation throughout the renovation period). With a particular focus on maintaining design intent throughout the life of each project, William strives to manage each project such that the ultimate design solution for each project achieves the best possible and most appropriate level of design while strictly adhering to the client’s functional needs, the client’s budget, and the client’s own design goals.
William is an ordained elder and deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Austin (FPC), has served on multiple building committees there as well as the youth ministry team, and currently teaches high school Sunday school at his church. On FPC’s behalf, William has worked intimately with City of Austin representatives in navigating several Church improvements (exterior and interior signage, monument signage, code-related issues, and other items) through regulatory-approval processes.
