Starting her architectural career in Sacramento and settled now in Spokane, Sherry has found her passion in attention to detail, researching products, and connecting products and manufacturer representatives to bring her clients' visions to reality. Through her technical writing she is able to focus on coordination of project documents and the integration of products. Sherry engages the design team in making decisions and assists with connecting with product representatives that provide insight to specific situations.
With over 22 years of being an independent specifier, the vast majority of her clients have been remote. She has developed specifications for numerous projects across the country, manufacturers, and has assisted with updating office master specifications for architectural firms.
Project types she has been involved with include University and K-14 buildings, performing arts centers, natatoriums, athletic facilities, libraries, medical office buildings, hospitals, laboratory research facilities, data centers, fire stations, major building renovations for public and government facilities, and large scale commercial developments. . Sherry has created many specifications for projects with LEED goals and worked with each architect and LEED consultant to tailor the specifications to the needs of the project.
Sherry is a Fellow of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and member of the Specification Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP). She has participated at local Chapter, Region, and Institute levels of CSI for the last 28 years.
