Greetings! Falling short on your CEU's for 2025. Well, “Don’t get your tinsel in a tangle” CSINext will be conducting our December Chapter Meeting next week and the presentation will offer four different webinars.
Please note: Each webinar requires a separate registration.
All of these will offer HSW learning units.
Procrastinator's Workshop
10:00 - 11:00 am EST | Presented by Ron Geren
The building code and its complementary codes are not organized in a logical sequence that can be applied intuitively during building design. Although organized into chapters of related requirements, each chapter of the building code contains requirements of varying degrees of specificity—some are applicable to early design stages. In contrast, others are more appropriate for consideration as the design nears completion.
This session presents a step-by-step overview of the code requirements to be considered during each of the standard design phases: schematic design, design development, and construction documents.

This session provides building officials with a comprehensive understanding of wildfire risk and resilience strategies, with a focus on the built environment. Participants will explore national wildfire trends, case studies of major fire events, and New Jersey’s unique wildfire history and risk profile. The course emphasizes the role of building codes—especially the ICC Wildland-Urban Interface Code (IWUIC)—in mitigating wildfire impacts. Attendees will learn how to support code adoption, engage in Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) development, and leverage their expertise to shape safer communities. The session includes an overview of the International Code Council’s Fire and Disaster Mitigation team and concludes with a Q&A segment.

The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law July 26, 1990. It was revised 20 years later, with the 2010 version. The ADA is over 35 years old. However, ADA design is still misunderstood, creating design and construction challenges. This presentation takes a look at some of the common mistakes and overlooked items of the ADA. Addressing the intent of the ADA and providing real world solutions.
