Description:

  • Do you have passion around helping others grow and succeed?

  • Do you believe CSI chapters can be vibrant and deliver great value to members?

  • Want to be part of an exciting new project to help chapters transform their meeting experiences into must-attend events?

If you answered “Yes” to all three questions, becoming a Transformation Advocate for CSIs new Dynamic Chapter Program may be a great fit for you!

CSI has engaged Cynthia D’Amour, a national expert in helping associations get more members involved, to develop a program to help members transform chapters by making meetings irresistible.

Some participants come from chapters that will be going from good to great. Many participants may represent chapters that struggle to get members and guests to show up.

The program kicks-off in October after Construct.

Cynthia will take two months to teach participants a design template for meetings as well as a new approach to promotions.

She’ll also hold group-coaching sessions to help participants design using her approach.

Starting in January, participants will have six months to hold at least four meeting experiences designed as taught. They will participate in the Dynamic Chapter Implementation Challenge.

(Here’s a link to learn more about the program.)

Transformation Advocates (TAs) are an important part of this program and process.

As a TA, you will be assigned a chapter team. It may be one person or more – depending upon who signs up.

You will help your team get clear on what their chapter can be like when they grow attendance. (Doubling up and more is common when using Cynthia’s approach.)

You’ll do a little project management helping your chapter team get work done in a timely manner. Coach them as needed when obstacles rise up in their chapter. You will believe they can design meetings members want to attend.

You’ll also help your chapter team process each meeting experience during the Implementation Challenge.

You’ll help them figure out what worked and what they can do differently with the next event to take attendance even higher.

Cynthia will train you how to work with your team and implement her approach with confidence.

There will also be a special community for TAs so you can support each other and get feedback from Cynthia when you want it.

If you are passionate about CSI and love to support people in growing, this will be a rewarding opportunity for you.

Who can participate as a TA?

We are looking for people who are passionate about CSI and the process of helping your team grow as they boost attendance at their meetings to new heights.

Some participants will represent struggling chapters and may have more challenging time building momentum with the Implementation Challenge.

They also have the biggest potential to transform their chapter thanks to their efforts and your belief in them.

You will need to advocate for transformation using the approach to meetings Cynthia teaches participants. It may stretch your team’s comfort zones and you’ll need to help them feel confident trying things they haven’t done before.

Chapter leadership experience is a plus but not required. If you are a leader at work who loves transforming teams, you may also be a good fit.

How long will this take?

The kick-off session takes place October X. You’ll work on training and design through December 2018. The Implementation Challenge takes place January – June 2019. Winners and recognition happen in July 2019. Everything is virtual.
