Description:

Join a high-impact team driving the strategic direction of CSI's professional certifications! The CSI Certification Committee plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity, quality, and future-readiness of the certification programs. 

This committee governs:   

  • Construction Documents Technologist (CDT®) 

  • Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA®) 

  • Certified Construction Specifier (CCS®) 

  • Certified Construction Product Representative (CCPR® 

Deliverable #1: Evaluate, review and maintain the schedule for certification program quality to achieve and maintain a ‘gold standard’.  

Deliverable #2: Review the most recent Body of Knowledge Assessment (BoKA), Job Analysis (JA) research, and credential needs assessment survey data as available. Recommend updates or revisions every 3-5 years.     

Deliverable #3: Recommend policies and practices to support examinees' success at taking and passing the CSI certification exams  

i. Review confidential exam results and psychometric exam item analysis report provided by outside contractor that evaluated item performance.   

ii. Review confidential passing score analysis conducted by an outside contractor every 2-3 years. 

Deliverable #4: Update the Call for Volunteers timeline annually, as needed, for short-term assignments to include: item writers, standard score setting, job analysis research, BoKA review, etc. 

👥 Committee Structure 

  • Size: 8-10 CSI members.  

  • Additional Members: Optionally includes one public member for external expertise 

  • Term: 2 years per appointment, renewable up to 6 years 

⏱️ Time Commitment  

  • Quarterly Video Calls  

  • Estimated Annual Volunteer Hours: 10 – 20 volunteer hours/year 

🎯 Eligibility Requirements 

  • Active CSI membership 

  • Must hold and maintain applicable CSI credentials 

  • Certification Committee members may not:  

    • Participate in content development or exam prep activities  

    • Be involved in chapter/region leadership positions directly related to certification 

    • Serve on the CSI Board of Directors concurrently
