Description:

This is an opportunity to engage with your peers to enhance and mold the Academics offered by CSI, to enhance resources used by educators to present the CDT (Project Delivery Education Program), and to develop and review existing products. Use your experience to help enhance what our AECO audience needs to be successful in the industry.  

Current Deliverables: 

  • Deliverable #1: Support the creation and maintenance of a current, comprehensive package of resources for use by educators who present the CDT (or Project Delivery Education Program) program to students at higher education institutions. Composition of group if there are multiple people engaged in a group activity.  

  • Deliverable #2: The CSI Academic Programs Committee helps facilitate and support CSI engagement with academic institutions. 

  • Deliverable #3: Communication – Develop and review existing tools to empower local CSI chapter/region members to provide credible assistance to colleges and universities. 

  • Deliverable #4: Utilize the CSI Connect community and other resources to highlight and encourage member participation in CSI’s Academic Programs. 

Composition: The committee is chaired by one member, plus up to 8 additional members.  

Term: 1-year term running from January 1 to December 31 

Time Commitment: The Academic Programs Committee meets once a month for an hour. Additional time up to 2 hours per month if research time is needed for projects. 

Competencies: Professionals with an academic background, experience teaching CSI exam preparation courses, or who have an interest in reaching out to students or current educators. Must be a team player and have a good working knowledge of what it takes to be successful in the AECO community, specifically as a Specifier. 

Bonus: Earn up to 2 learning units per year for volunteering!
