Chapter Awards

A NIGHT TO SHINE

The CSI Chicago Chapter Awards Celebration is the one night of the year where we shine a light on the individuals and companies who have significantly impacted the Chapter and/or the Chicago construction industry. Below is a list of the Awards that will be presented at the 2024 CSI Chicago Chapter Awards Celebration on Wednesday, May 30, 2024 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm (CT).

Advocate Award
The CSI Chicago Advocate Award is presented to a chapter member who consistently publicly supports and/or recommends CSI Chicago to colleagues, companies and other organizations. The Advocate Award is selected by the current chapter president.

Alan Itzkowitz Mentor Award
The Alan Itzkowitz Mentor Award recognizes one individual who has made an outstanding commitment to being a positive influence and improving the life and career of others in the design and construction industry. CSI Chicago established the award in 2022 and was named for Chapter Fellow Alan Itzkowitz, whose career was built upon his interest in people, ethics, innovation, education and generosity. CSI Chicago members must nominate individuals for this award and the nominees can be CSI Chicago members or non-members.

Ally Award
The CSI Chicago Ally Award is presented to a Chapter ally who enhanced the quality of the chapter through their support and participation. The Ally Award is selected by the current chapter president.

Community Service Award
The CSI Chicago Community Service Award is presented to a chapter member who made significant service contributions to our Chicagoland community through use of their time, actions, talents and dedication.  The Community Service Award is selected by the current chapter president.

EL (Emerging Leader) Award
The CSI Chicago EL (Emerging Leader) Award is presented to up to three individuals with 2-10 years of experience in the Chicago AEC Industry who have significantly impacted the Chicago AEC industry. CSI Chicago members must nominate individuals for this award and the nominees can be CSI Chicago members or non-members.

Fellow Award
The CSI Chicago Fellow Award is presented to a chapter member every other year who embodies the traits exhibited by two great Chapter leaders, Gary Betts and Ken Crocco. The Fellow Award is the highest honor a Chapter member can receive and is selected by the existing Chapter Fellows.

Foundation Champion Award
The CSI Chicago Foundation Champion Award is presented to an individual, company or organization who has significantly contributed to the advancement of the Foundation's mission, activities, and/or administration. The Champion Award is selected by the current CSI Chicago Foundation Board.

Partner Award
The CSI Chicago Partner Award is presented to a Chapter partner who has enhanced the quality of the chapter through their support and participation. The Partner Award is selected by the current chapter president.

President's Award
The CSI Chicago President’s Award is presented to a chapter member who has rendered distinguished service to the chapter and was instrumental in advancement of the chapter’s mission, activities, and/or administration. The President’s Award is selected by the current chapter president.

Rookie Award
The CSI Chicago Rookie Award is presented to a chapter member with little tenure in the Chapter, but has quickly enhanced the quality of the chapter through their participation. The Rookie Award is selected by the current chapter president.

Technical Award
The CSI Chicago Technical Award is presented to an individual who has significantly contributed to improving the technical knowledge of the chapter and/or its members.  The Technical Award is selected by the current chapter president.
