Overview
CSI's Nominating Committee is charged — per the CSI Bylaws — with presenting a properly screened slate of qualified candidates to the membership for election to the Board of Directors. Each year, the Board advises the Committee on the skills, attributes, and experience it believes will best serve the membership, and the Committee uses those criteria to guide its work.
How Nominees Are Identified
The Committee builds its pool of potential nominees from three sources:
Regardless of how a nominee enters the process — whether through self-nomination or recommendation — a completed nomination application is required from every nominee.

Regional Director Nominations
For Regional Director seats, each Region runs its own parallel nomination process before forwarding candidates to the CSI Nominating Committee:
In practice, it is rare that regions put forward more than one nominee to the CSI Nominating Committee. And it is common that regions put forward no one, or do not constitute a nominating committee.
