There are five awards available for Chapter publications, programs, seminars as well as electronic communications. These awards are accomplishment based and recognize the efforts of member(s) of a Chapter or Region. The accomplishment is normally based on a person working singly or in tandem with others to develop, display, print, and publish information documents, Newsletter, Web-Site, a Special Publication or Flyer, or a Program communications with the members of the Chapter or Region as well as others in the local construction industry. The Awards meeting this criteria are:
Region Most-Improved Continuing Publication Award;
Region Continuing Publication Award;
Award for Special Chapter, Region, or Institute Publication;
Award for Chapter Program or Seminar; and
Region Electronic Communications Award.
So, do you have a website? Is there a published or electronic Newsletter? Do you have programs, flyers, or other advertising documents for programs, seminars, or events? If the answer to one or more of these questions is Yes, they you should have someone eligible for one of the awards listed above. All it takes is getting a team together to write, review, re-write, and approve a nomination package for one or more of your valuable chapter members to be recognized for their efforts. Why not try? The is an old saying out there that "the only Award you are guaranteed not to win it the one not submitted."
