Shawn Faulkner isn’t a newbie in the paints and coatings industry. After graduating college in 2011 with a degree in marketing and advertising he started his career with The Sherwin Williams Company. In 2016, he branched out in the world of paint and coatings accepting a position as a sales representative with PPG and quickly moved up to become the market Field Sales Trainer. Shawn was honored with 1st place as the Top Sales Rep USA and Canada in the 1st Quarter of 2018. This momentum helped him secure his current position as Architect Design Manager. Now, his focus on product recommendations, specifications, paint and coating technology presentations along with color tool and design reviews and updates
He advises less seasoned professionals to learn as much as they can about the products and industry they represent and be honest about them. The best mentors are those who have been in this industry the longest and have the most product knowledge; from both a technical and realistic product approach. Always keep learning about current and upcoming products and the technology behind them.
In his downtime, he is a devoted husband and father of two, an avid runner, and home brewer of craft beer.
