There’s no bigger story in business right now than the many ways AI is altering how professionals work on a daily basis, both at the office and in the field.
Which is precisely why the upcoming CSI National Conference in Phoenix, AZ, October 7—9, will wrap up with an impactful keynote presentation on AI as a Leadership Imperative.

“There’s a lot of buzz around AI and there certainly has been for the last three years,” said Stellis AI CEO Trent Gillespie, who will fill the closing keynote role. “But in my mind, it’s kind of met its peak, and everything that’s been hidden for the last three years is basically happening right now.”
As a former Amazon AI leader, Trent will give AECO professionals a practical roadmap for moving beyond experimentation using his AI SPRINT™ framework to embed artificial intelligence into strategy, operations, and daily decisions quickly and successfully.
“There are a lot of people that have kind of been listening and not really trying to take advantage of AI,” Trent said. “A lot of organizations have just kind of been playing with it. But the capabilities that it now has in just the last two to three months made such a big step forward that it really is beginning to change everything.”
Trent said one of the key arguments he hears against using AI is that it will cause people to lose jobs instead of creating new opportunities. He expects implementation to instead create more jobs through new services, products, and processes as more organizations adopt it in the coming years.
“One of the bigger picture things I really focus on is that AI is not just another technology project or tool,” Trent said. “It is a leadership project. It’s a leadership obligation. If you really want to sustain your company for the future, you have to look at it strategically. You have to identify what the big opportunity is for your industry right now."
As the closing keynote, Trent said he is looking forward to giving attendees a clear initiative that they can all take back home.
“By Friday, everyone is going to have heard a lot about AI already,” Trent said. “So my goal is to put it together for them to go and do the work for themselves.”
“Putting it together” includes a six-step methodology that applies to every attendee, no matter where they are in their implementation of AI, which Trent will explain during his presentation, providing a clear framework on how to take the next step.
“I work with organizations of every size and there are steps that apply to each one of them concurrently,” Trent said. “And I’m going to give each one of them a break down of exactly where to apply AI in their role.
