CSI Members Approve Bylaws Referendum
CSI's Board of Directors reoriented CSI's focus to better support members personal and professional potential and success. In March, and as part of a broader policy initiative, CSI's Board Members recommended changes to CSI's Bylaws so the organization could respond more quickly and effectively to members' needs. Any Bylaw changes must be approved by 66% of members who vote.
Eligible members included professional members, lifetime members, retired members and emerging professional members. Nine percent (758) of those who were eligible cast ballots. The changes were overwhelmingly approved: 95.12% (721) of members voted for the changes, while 4.88% (37) did not.
CSI's President Lane Beougher, FCSI, CCS, CCCA said, "Board members were pleased with the support we received from volunteer leaders and members as we attended our Region Conferences. Across the country, they told us of their desire for change so the Board could focus on end results and benefits for our members. The Board appreciates the trust you have placed in us by supporting the referendum, and recognize we must now deliver on our promise to create a better CSI, a performance-based organization to serve your interests and enable your success."
