What You Said: Reasons to Be Thankful

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year, with safe travels and some memorable time with family and friends. Here are some of the main reasons you said you were thankful this holiday season.

“I am thankful for the opportunities that membership in CSI has given me over the years, opportunities for professional growth and also opportunities to know and work with so many brilliant and diverse people from all parts of the country and the construction industry.”
Ann Baker RA, FCSI, CCS, CCCA, CDT, LEED AP, SCIP

I am thankful for my family.  My wife is a blessing from God.  I am thankful for my awesome job and the company I work for.  I get to write specs for very exciting projects all over the US, and the world.  Finally, I am thankful for CSI and my fellow CSI Members who helped me get here.

Blair P. Reese, CSI, CDT, LEED AP, BD+C

“I am thankful to be semi retired; able to choose what I want to do when I want to do it. I am thankful to all my mentors and fellow CSI members that continue to provide me the knowledge base for the future.”
Paul Bertram FCSI, Lifetime Member, CDT, CSC, LEED AP, NIBS, SC

“I’m thankful for the tremendous network of manufacturers whose products I specify, sales representatives who help me determine the right product for the application, my architect clients who keep me on my toes and allow me to impart some of my wisdom to their staffs, CSI members who share their knowledge to me, and all of the other CSI members who help me do my job better every day.”

Alan Itzkowitz, FCSI, CCS, CCCA, CDT, AIA, ALA, LEED, AP, SCIP

“So many things to be thankful for... I wrote my weekly blog on what I was thankful for.”

“This year marked a dramatic change in my life. I retired after 29 years of work in the State of Colorado. It seems one door closes to open another. I am grateful to my new employer for giving me a second career and a new home in Texas. All the change at one time has been challenging, but very rewarding.”

Keep the holiday spirit going and share why you are thankful right here.
