• CONSTRUCT IS NEXT WEEK! - For several lucky Great Lakes Region Members, next week we will fill our days learning about the latest Institute happenings, educate ourselves with industry experts, and renew old friendships as CSI members across the country converge in Phoenix for the annual CSI convention.
  
  • Outstanding Chapter Award- this year there are only 25 chapters out of the 142 in CSI who gained this level of recognition! Congratulations to the three chapters in the Great Lakes Region who will receive their awards in Phoenix- Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Metro Detroit.
  • If you are attending the conference- the Great Lakes Region Caucus is Thursday September 13th, 5:45-6:30PM in room S151.

• Chapter Visits- This month Bob Schrock and I made a visit to the Northeast part of the state to meet with the Cleveland Chapter Leaders. The topic of course was next year’s Region Conference July 18th -20th in that fair city. Planning has officially begun and look for a great time and more leadership classes next year.

• Committee updates- We have filled the remaining vacant chair positions for the Region. Look for more from these committee members throughout the coming year.
• Awards Committee- Henry Stellema (Indianapolis) and Roberta Tanno (Cincinnati).
• Certification Committee- Scott Mitchell Taylor (Cleveland) and Dennis Hacker (Columbus).
• Region Website- an interesting item came out of some discussions at this year’s Region conference. Do you know there is a Great Lakes Region Website? greatlakes.csinet.org
  
• Regional Relevance- Do you have a project that highlights a Regional unique perspective here in the Midwest? Share your ideas, concerns and/or solutions with Ivette Ramirez Bruns, CSI,CCS at ibruns@csoinc.net.

  • CSI BOGO -Buy-One/Give-One Member Referral Campaign - When you recruit one professional member who joins, CSI will provide you with one membership to GIVE to a potential new member.
