San Francisco Chapter Update
Pro-Fair 2018 was, by all accounts, quite a success! Attendance reached 234; the highest in several years. The setup went smoothly (that being a relative measure), exhibitors were ready as guests arrived, the "buzz" was constant, food was outstanding, service excellent, and our distinguished panel and moderator held the audience's attention to the end. Our thanks to those whose time, creativity and effort made it all possible; Taryn Fischer, Earl Carter, Katia Griggs, Vivian Volz and Pete Janda!
Your Board and Committees are always receptive to Member input. You don't have to wait for a survey to share an idea or opinion. Your greatest impact comes from participation so, if you want more of a voice, let one of us know were you'd like to plug in! We're rapidly approaching the election of Officers and Directors, providing an excellent opportunity to exert your influence on the Chapter's direction and activities.
It's not too late to register for and attend the bi-Regional conference in Alaska early next month. A lot of work goes into the preparation for these conferences, which are held to benefit members. There are education opportunities, meetings for chapters to share best practices, coordinate regional issues and have a chance to communicate with our Insititute representatives. In some cases, your local Chapter can help defer the cost, so that those who want to are able attend. I hope to see you there!
