Words from the President – December 2025 Building Up People, Profession, and Projects - Locally As 2025 winds down, I’ve been reflecting on what we heard at this year’s CSI National Conference in Cleveland. CSI leadership emphasized three pillars shaping our future— community, professional elevation, and innovation. These aren’t abstract ideas. They map directly to the work we’re doing here in the Willamette Valley: Community: We’re focusing on connection; bringing people together, re-engaging members we haven’t seen in a while, and making space for informal conversations that strengthen our network. WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT Over the past year, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to lead a professional community during uncertain times; and I want to speak honestly about both the challenges and the hope I see for our CSI chapter. Like many local organizations, we’ve felt the effects of industry burnout, shifting priorities, and the strain of reduced capacity. Fewer people have time to volunteer. Workloads are heavier. WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT It has been a remarkable experience serving as the Chapter President since this summer, and I eagerly anticipate the year ahead. During this period, our Chapter has expanded its reach geographically. However, we have also seen a few members retire or transition ...

THE DOCUMENTOR WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT How can your CSI chapter better serve you? Over the past year, we’ve had well attended events and not well attended events. It’s difficult to ascertain what will draw people’s interest and fit in their busy lives, especially when we don’t meet in person as much as we used to. President-elect Sydney Mills and I recently attended the CSI region conference to connect with other chapter leaders and get ideas. We left re-energized to make the Willamette Valley Chapter into a thriving community striving to meet the needs of our current and future members. We’re working to provide programming that fits your ...

WORDS FROM THE PRESIDENT Hello fellow CSI members. I wish you all well as we kick off the holiday season. It’s been quite some time since we’ve sent out a Documentor, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been hard at work in the background. We have welcomed a new board, hosted a successful first annual golf tournament, and have some exciting events and changes coming to the Willamette Valley Chapter’s digital presence in the next few months. NEW WEBSITE I’m happy to announce our new website, coming soon, which will be more streamlined and easier to navigate. This new ‘microsite’ has a more intuitive user interface that we’re hoping will make it easier ...
