Now that the time to submit the Robert Bishop Nomination Packages has come and gone, it is time to get serious about the plethora of other awards available out there within the Gulf States Region. You have top awards like the "Eugene Wetzel Award for Communications Excellence", the Region Certificate of Appreciation - Individual Award and the Firm or Organization Award, Publication Awards, Program and Seminar Awards, Technical Commendation, Educational Commendation, Electronic Communications Award, Membership Awards, and so many others. I would really love to see the Awards Banquet be chock full of meaningful service awards and technical awards. Each Chapter surely has at least one or two members who will "fit the bill" for one of these awards. Please check over the GSR Ops Guide and pick a couple to submit. As it stands right now, the deadline for submission of nominations is March 1st, 2024. If this presents a problem for any chapter, please let me know and I can see if we can extend that a little. I can't wait see all of you at the Region Conference.
