Criteria for the Environmental Stewardship Award
This award was created to recognize those who have become a “Steward of the Environment” within their City, County, State, Region, etc. (A Steward of the Environment is one who not only espouses but actively and publicly practices environmental sustainability).
This award is presented to those individuals, organizations, or firms who, in the opinion of their peers:
- Demonstrate environmental stewardship through innovations in promoting
environmental awareness in the construction industry; and
- Practicing sustainability through design, technology or construction means and
methods in a prominent manner; and
- Educating and mentoring others in the advantages of designing for sustainability.
Nomination shall include a detailed narrative explaining the reason for nomination including an explanation of how this entity impacted the local construction community as well as CSI at the Chapter, Region and/or Institute level.
