For those who missed the ship to the 2023 CSI National Conference in Minneapolis, fear not, for our region has not only weathered the storm but has emerged with four prestigious awards. A resounding congratulations to all the Institute Awards recipients who have added a touch of pirate gold to our collective treasure chest!
In the spirit of recognizing outstanding deeds, I must spotlight the gallant contributions of our crew. FY2023 Board Chair, the distinguished Cam Featherstonhaugh, CSI, CDT, has bestowed Board Chair Plaques upon those who have demonstrated exceptional prowess. A special cheer goes out to:
- Kristopher Benton, CSI, CDT: Our current CSI Southeast Region Treasurer, navigating our financial seas with skill.
- Glenn Remler, CSI: Our CSI Southeast Region Immediate Past President and Captain of the CSI South Florida Chapter.
As the waves of success continue, I'm thrilled to announce that two of our southeastern chapters, the valiant Suncoast Chapter and the ever-daring Charlotte Chapter, have earned Outstanding Chapter Commendations at the national level. A particular nod to the Charlotte Chapter for achieving the prestigious Bronze Level, marking 8 years of excellence. Bravo, mates!
Now, as we adjust our compasses and set our sights on new horizons, I invite you to join the upcoming CSI Southeast Region Conference, "Treasure Quest: History, Harbors & Heritage," set to unfold from April 10th to the 13th in the legendary port of Tampa. Our chosen harbor for this grand gathering is the historic Hotel Haya, tightly nestled in the heart of Ybor City, a place steeped in tales of Gasparilla and treasure.
