Adam Nakagoshi and Eugene Lee, both Designers with Gensler, will describe the design process for NVIDIA Phase I. They’ll tell us how their team used digital simulation and visualization through virtual and augmented reality.

About the Speakers:

Adam Nakagoshi is the Regional Design Technology Director for Gensler’s Northwest Region, and is based in the San Francisco office. With a background in architecture, building information modeling (BIM), and data-driven 3D modeling, Adam leads the integration of digital technologies as a way to bridge the gap between the visualization of unbuilt environments with virtual and augmented reality technology (VR and AR). He guides the research and development, application for project use, and the implementation of the technology into the design process for teams throughout the region. His clients include NVIDIA, San Francisco International Airport, and the City of San Jose. Adam holds a Masters in Architecture from the University of South Florida.

Eugene Lee's extensive experience in developing virtual tools for the planning and design of large-scale buildings is invaluable in anticipating and understanding design decisions and their cost implications. His work, domestically and abroad on large-scale, complex projects inform all his projects whether corporate headquarters, commercial office buildings, retail or tall buildings. In 2007, the firm recognized Eugene’s unique talents with the Gene Watanabe Award, given to the individual whose work advances the communication of ideas through visual media.
