The Division 01 requirements are the rules for the project for everybody involved, from specific requirements of your jobsite, right down to minute details like what time of day you can make extra noise and where to park.  This session will cover the importance of reviewing and understanding Division 01 and how it supplements your scope of work.

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize how the various types of contract documents interlock with each other and how they describe the total scope of work
  • Discuss how testing requirements, mockups and sustainability requirements are applicable to the entire project and where to find them
  • Describe where to find the basic ground rules for operating on the job site, interfacing with other subcontractors and the owner/contractor relationship
  • Explain substitution requests and the liability issues involved with changes to the work, and coordination with adjacent work
  • Identify closeout procedures including warranties, operations and maintenance, training and owner turnover
