The Program:
Do you want to get to know daylighting technologies, strategies, and the health benefits associated with good daylighting? With project case studies and the life cycle of daylighting products, James Choate-Deeds, AIA, LEED-AP, CSI, CSC will showcase how daylighting is an architectural feature that creates a positive impact on people and the environment without sacrificing energy performance.

Got specs to write? - As the Northwest Regional Manager for Kingspan Light + Air (formerly CPI Daylighting), James will address the biggest questions when it comes to specifications: "Is all daylighting equal?" and, "Do all manufacturers follow the same protocols?"

Please join us for this informative presentation and discussion!

About our Speaker:

James Choate-Deeds, (AIA, LEED-AP, CSI, CSC) Northwest Regional Manager for Kingspan Light + Air (formerly CPI Daylighting), has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry.  His diverse background working in construction, architecture, architectural education, manufacturing, and as an owner's agent have shown him the value of a collaborative and holistic project approach.  Before joining CPI, he was a practicing architect who focused on the planning and design of new and renovated community focused facilities. James’ innate passion for sustainable design drove him to improve the built and natural environments on all of the projects he led. His list of professional credentials, licenses, and committee involvement tell a compelling story of his dedication and knowledge. James’ desire to show architects and owners how to maximize a building’s performance is what brought him to Kingspan Light + Air, where he travels throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada assisting design teams with everything from preliminary design to daylighting system optimization.
