Louis Hirsch was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Westchester, Woodland Hills and Beverly Hills. After much schooling at UCLA, he finally graduated from Cal State Northridge with a degree in Accounting with Computer Science.
He was working as a computer software tester and a photographer when, in 1977, his father bought Parker Lighting from Parker Williams, hence the name Parker Lighting. Louis bought Parker Lighting from his father in 1992. PARKER LIGHTING, INC. has remained a leading residential, commercial and industrial lighting supplier in Southern California since 1965, 53 years in business. Their slogan is “We Light Your World”.
This month we are celebrating 41 years of ownership of Parker Lighting… and he’s still there.
Louis currently lives in Agoura Hills with his wife Janet, daughter Melissa, father-in-law Jim and their three dogs, Lacey, Teddy and Peanut.
Louis’s hobbies include agility training our dogs, gardening with native California plants and reading the bridge column in the newspaper.
