"MSR is a great format for learning – about the latest product, as well as industry trends and challenges. Professionally, it’s been great to hear from veteran spec writers about common pitfalls and certain aspects of spec writing that are more difficult and consequently more time consuming. Learning tips and ideas for stream-lining the process can help mitigate errors, redundancies, and promote better communication among the design team."

"Great experience to gain industry leading knowledge and networking. Building connections is important for a specifier. I met so many manufacturers as well as colleagues."

"Having recently attended the CSI MSR at Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort outside Jacksonville, FL, I have to highly recommend this to both specifiers and product manufacturers. The small number of participants (+/-40 specifiers, +/-40 manufacturers) allows a level of intimacy to discuss shared needs/opportunities in a relaxed way that is never possible at the office. I especially enjoyed meeting other specifiers and learning about how they work. CSI facilitators were first-class, and we ate very well!"

Specifier at Hord Coplan Macht

"I had a wonderful experience attending the CSI MSR, and it exceeded my expectations. This is an intimate gathering with a perfectly relaxed pace and setting, with approximately 30 specifiers and 30 manufacturers/reps. Interactions with manufacturers are somewhat-like 30-minute one-on-one meetings in the office except all were relaxed, and most representatives seemed to be leadership and/or have advanced knowledge. Some of my best interactions were unscheduled discussions at dinner or on the shuttle to a nearby event. One of the greatest benefits was the opportunity to talk at-length with other specifiers about how we work, the challenges we face, and expectations for the future. The casual atmosphere allowed these discussions to exceed similar experiences I’ve had at conferences and at local chapter events."
2018 MSR participant

"As a CSI Corporate Partner, Behr has participated in CSI’s MSR for the past 3 years. Each year we have the opportunity to showcase our company, products and services to 15-17 architects in an intensive one-on-one presentation format. This is a highly effective way of reaching key decision makers and getting ‘on spec’, each and every time. The added benefit is getting to know our future clients on a personal level during the course of the 2.5 day event. What a great way to further business, build future relationships and have a great time in the process. This has been a first class event, every time."
