This course introduces the basic concepts of project conception and delivery including programming, planning and pre-design. The presenters will cover design and construction services, roles and responsibilities of design and construction teams, and introduce the project delivery methods.

COURSE: Passive House Basics: Buildings with a Clear Conscience

Buildings and the construction industry are responsible for half of all CO2 emissions released every year. The Passive House is a set of design principals used to attain quantifiable and rigorous level of energy efficiency within specific quantifiable comfort level. This course will introduce you to the basic principles behind Passive House and get you up-to-speed on some of the latest projects and incentives in the US and Canada.
