Tour of Lakewood Cemetery Visitors Center

Please join us on Tuesday September 10th for our joint CSI and BEC-MN monthly chapter meeting. 

Here is our schedule:

• 4:30 PM to 5 PM            Registration and social gathering
• 5 PM to 5:30 PM            Chapter Business Meeting
• 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM       Dinner and presentation by the project design team

The Lakewood Cemetery Visitors Center is one of the first net-zero energy ready buildings in Minneapolis. It will serve as a center for robust community programing. Chris Makowske, President of Lakewood Cemetery describes the building this way:

“This project is a reflection of our vision to reimagine and expand on what a cemetery can be. The Welcome Center allows us to better support families and the community, now and into the future, while demonstrating our commitment as responsible stewards of Lakewood’s 250 park-like acres, a haven in the heart of the city.”
