February Meeting: Energy Efficiency Roadmap

 View Only
When:  Feb 2, 2023 from 05:30 PM to 08:00 PM (PT)
Associated with  Redwood Empire

The topic for our February Dinner Presentation is focused on energy efficiency, decarbonization and resilience in the built environment.  Christine Condon, an Energy and Sustainability Analyst with the County of Sonoma Climate Action and Resiliency Division was the technical lead for The Energy Efficiency Roadmap tool. This tool was created to support nonresidential energy efficiency upgrade projects in Sonoma County. With funding from the PG&E Local Government Partnership program, the division provides no-cost energy assessments for public buildings, K-12 schools and small-medium businesses in Sonoma County. The EER tool is used to document existing conditions and to create an Energy Efficiency Roadmap report that includes short and long-term recommendations for upgrades and connections to a portfolio of available financial and technical resources to get projects done.

The County of Sonoma Climate Action and Resiliency Division (CARD) provides support for residential and nonresidential energy efficiency and resiliency projects throughout Sonoma County. CARD operates out of an accessible storefront at the County of Sonoma campus offering incentive, financing and project planning support for energy and water efficiency, solar PV and battery storage, and construction hardening projects. Services include no-cost energy efficiency, solar PV and financing consulting, educational workshops and training programs and a free contractor tool lending library.
