CSI Austin August Meeting: Acoustically Enhanced Gypsum Board Designed for High STC Wall Assemblies

 View Only
When:  Aug 14, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 01:00 PM (CT)
Associated with  Austin

Over the years sound transmission in wall partitions has been a difficult issue to resolve. The use of sound resilient metal channels, double stud and staggered stud walls filled with insulation was the design professional's choice. As a result of innovation and a better understanding of acoustics, additional products are now available for the design of high STC wall assemblies.  With all the multi-family work in development and under construction here in Austin, this presentation is of particular importance to those in the design and construction industry.
