- Akron-Canton CSI members and guests are invited to
test their knowledge at our January Chapter Meeting.
The "Are You Smarter Than A Specifier?" version of the popular show encourages members & guests to test their combined knowledge of the construction industry. Contestants (attendees) will be challenged to answer questions regarding construction contract administration, building systems, construction documents, materials and methods, and legal topics. Questions will become increasingly harder as the contestant correctly answers questions to win a cash prize. While one contestant is playing the game, the audience will also be answering the questions to compete to see who has the most knowledge by answering the most correct questions in the shortest amount of time and win a cash prize.
Learning Objectives:
1) Participants will be challenged to apply their knowledge about contract documents to correctly answer questions regarding various contract documents.
2)Participants will identify construction systems and products using a completed project to evaluate if the products met the performance goals as specified.
3)Participants will determine if a specified product meets local codes and if it is properly incorporated into a product specification.
4)Participants will determine which project delivery method is best based on a given set of project criteria.
AIA members earn 1.5 HSW LU (pending AIA approval).
