Below Grade Waterproofing

Provide an overview of waterproofing systems, applications, discuss attributes of each system. Roundtable discussion is encouraged through the overview. Discuss the field observation and testing that should be considered. Provide suggestions when a waterproofing consultant should be utilized.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Compare dampproofing systems to waterproofing systems.
  2. Discuss the different types of waterproofing systems available and the advantages of each system.
  3. Outline various applications where one waterproofing system may be selected over another waterproofing system.
  4. Discuss what should be observed in the field when observing the installation of a waterproofing system. Review procedures for field testing waterproofing systems on horizontal surfaces over occupied areas.

Registration: Required by Friday, April 26.
