Make plans to complete your 2022 CSI National Conference experience in Denver with a private tour of the planned expansion of the Colorado Convention Center.
Available to the first 30 conference attendees who register for this event, the tour will take place Friday, Oct. 14, at 2:30 p.m. (MST) and provide a first look at the ambitious re-tooling of an iconic metropolitan landmark.

The expansion—anticipated to be completed in late 2023—will include a new 80,000 square-foot column-free multipurpose room and an outdoor rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the city skyline and mountains. The project will be the largest ballroom in Colorado and expand one of the largest buildings in Denver.
On the ground floor, there will be lobby renovations and seamless integration with the existing building, while offering attendees safe and easy access to an additional 150,000 square feet of meeting space, 600,000 square feet of exhibit space, and a 5,000-seat Bellco Theatre.
After completing the tour participants will be able to:
- Describe the unique aspects of constructing above an active facility, including unique crane access.
- Describe unique design features of the facility.
- Describe the design constraints that led to the large and unique structural members.
- Describe the benefits of the Design-Build Delivery method.
The fee for the tour is $30. Participants will earn 1.5 CSI LUs. The activity features a site walk of an active construction project, including navigating stairs and uneven surfaces. Boots or leather closed-toed shoes are required for the site walk, and a hard hat and vest will be provided. A waiver will be sent to you once you’ve registered and will need to be completed to attend this tour.
