By CSI HQ posted 09-17-2018 02:29 PM

What Do You Think is a weekly CSI conversation starter to help you share your experiences, insights, and observations about the work you do on the CSIResources.org CSI-Connect Community.

Last week’s post stated: Thrillist recently posted an item highlighting “The Most Bad**s Buildings in America You’ve Probably Never Heard Of.”

Do you have a favorite building in the U.S., whether well-known or little-known and what do you love about it?

Here are some of your replies. You can view the entire thread—and add your thoughts to the conversation—here.

“Every courthouse or public building in the Midwest and elsewhere designed by Henry Hobson Richardson or his followers. Magnificent buildings that dominate their area. We just don't build them like that anymore.  It's road trip time to see some more.”

“The New World Symphony is a concert hall in Miami Beach—set up for 240 image projection at the same time the symphony is playing; and there is also an exterior wall specifically for simulcast projections on the exterior of the building—essentially opening up the symphony performances to anyone with a blanket and a picnic basket. I think buildings that challenge what we think they do all fit the description.”

“If we assume that ‘bad**s’ in this thread means just what it says, then without question the most ‘bad**s’ buildings in North America are Supermax prisons.”
